Sri Gururaya was a blossomed Lotus of Divine Wisdom trained under the blessings of Sri Swami Devananda Sarasati Maharaj. He was born to a Sacred, Pious Couple Parvathamma and Surya Narayana Raju in Manubolu Village on 07.01.1984. Somashekhar Raju is the name of his brother. He got married to Sujithamma on his 30th birthday..

From the age of studying, while supporting himself and also for family responsibilities, Sri Gururaya used to perform around 52 types of jobs like ‘Theatre, Agriculture, Tuitions to Children, Welding, Painting, Computer’ in small business industries. .

Being the only family in the Village he continued living his life despite several hardships and humiliations and devoted the majority of his time with Divine Ideals and Great gurus.

Sri Gururaya’s unwavering devotion to spiritual practice has propelled him to celestial heights, just as a little plant given daily water grows into a large tree. Sri Gururaya used to spend most of his time in holy places like Rishikesh, Kashi and Badrinath along with his revered guru Sri Devanand Swami. Sri Devanand Chinna Swami attained Maha Samadhi in the year 2000.
